9 Injured in Russian Drone Attacks on Ukraine

9 people were injured in Russian drone attacks on Ukraine

Reuters news agency reported on Tuesday, April 23, that according to military officials, 9 people were injured in a Russian drone attack on the port of Odessa in the Black Sea, four of whom were children. Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, was also targeted by Russian attacks again.

Ole Kiper, the governor of the Odessa region, wrote on the messaging app Telegram that the injured children included two infants. Additionally, three injured adults have been hospitalized. According to him, several residential buildings in this city have been damaged and caught fire. The city administration reported damage to at least 14 apartments.

According to what the Ukrainian Air Force has announced, Russia launched a total of 16 attack drones and two short-range Iskander ballistic missiles towards these cities. Ukraine says its air defense systems managed to destroy 15 drones over the southern regions of Odessa and Mykolaiv, in the central region of Cherkasy, and Kyiv.
