Hamed Esmaeilion said there was no talk of turning Iran into Benghazi at the Halifax meeting
Hamed Esmaeilion has denied any discussion of turning Iran into Benghazi at the Halifax Security Forum in Canada through a post on social media
In this post, Mr. Esmaeilion mentioned his trip to Europe to attend a meeting at the EU headquarters and to participate in the April 29 march in London. He wrote that in the past six months, he has attended various meetings or marches and has spoken in all of them about the necessity of seeking justice for the victims of the Islamic Republic and the need to support the Iranian people in overthrowing the ruling dictatorship in Iran
He published these remarks two days after resigning from the Mahsa Charter Solidarity Council
According to Mr. Esmaeilion, at the general session of the Halifax International Security Forum held in November 2022, only the repeated human rights violations by the Islamic Republic, the right of families to seek justice, and the necessity of referring the flight case to international bodies were discussed
He denied the claims about the topic of turning Iran into Benghazi being raised
