The number of workers killed in the Tabas mine explosion has reached at least 38, according to officials, with at least thirteen still trapped in this mine in South Khorasan province.

Assistance is being provided slowly and it is predicted to continue until the end of today.

Officials have promised to follow up and have stated that the culprits will be dealt with. Some families of the deceased have also criticized the authorities for not being accountable.
