Netanyahu Suffers in English

Netanyahu suffered in English

The Israeli Prime Minister, whose previous press conference did not go well for him and he also received a strong response regarding his insistence on the army’s presence at border crossings from the advisor to Joe Biden, decided to hold a press conference in English to strengthen his position. He repeated the positions and statements from the previous press conference with more emphasis and, as usual, with images and maps. However, this time the story was different, and he had to respond to recent criticisms and battle a wave of attacks stemming from the grief of families of executed hostages by Hamas.

His explanations about the importance of the Philadelphia corridor and the necessity of the army’s security and supervision over this corridor were accompanied by repeated emphasis and multiple references to maps and images. Netanyahu’s repetitive explanations turned into a hellish scenario with the start of journalists’ questions, which he did not expect. NBC and CNN reporters directly asked about the executed hostages and the fate of the remaining hostages.

CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s question about over 40,000 Palestinian victims was so explicit and sharp that it clearly caught Bibi off guard.

Repetitive questions about the Philadelphia corridor and mentioning the fact that he hadn’t said anything about its importance in these eight months, he had all the time to issue the order to attack this corridor, and has just arrived in this area, clearly cornering him.

Netanyahu’s responses were firm but not convincing. It’s natural that he doesn’t need to convince anyone because he has repeatedly stated that he agreed to a ceasefire agreement before and Hamas has been the cause of the lack of agreement.

Naturally, he did not mention that he himself suddenly changed the subject to the corridor in the negotiations and brought the negotiations to the brink of collapse.

In response to a sharp and aggressive question from a CNN reporter about the casualties in Gaza and the great achievement of the Israeli army in recording a one-to-one ratio of military and civilian casualties, his response was extremely rude. Reporters then considered him the cause of the lack of agreement and the hostages not being released after asking multiple questions about the Philadelphia corridor. This press conference ended with all the bitter questions from reporters and Netanyahu’s arrogance, and now everyone is waiting for him to finally react to Biden’s final plan.
