Tavakoli’s Criticism of the Asset Monetization Resolution
Ahmad Tavakoli, a member of the Expediency Discernment Council and chairman of the Transparency and Justice Watchboard, has strongly criticized the government’s asset monetization resolution in a letter to the heads of the branches of power. He described this resolution as the sale of public assets and likened it to the behavior of an addict who sells household goods to cover the cost of his substances. He also compared the handling of the parliament in this matter to the despotic behavior during the early years of the constitutional era.
