A Baloch prisoner faces the issuance of a death sentence

Hossein Kashani Asl, one of those arrested during the Zahedan protests on October 1st, has been charged with ‘moharebeh’ (enmity against God) and ‘corruption on earth’ and is at risk of receiving a death sentence. A detained protester in Ilam has also attempted suicide.

Hossein Kashani Asl was arrested on October 1st, a day after the Bloody Friday in Zahedan. He has been accused of ‘moharebeh’ and ‘corruption on earth’ and is facing the issuance of a death sentence.

Hossein’s case is currently in the second branch of the Shahid Nouri Criminal Court in Zahedan under the supervision of Judge Hossein Ghanbari. Hossein himself is in section 9 of the detention center of Zahedan Central Prison, living under conditions similar to hard labor.
