A Commercial Ship Hit by Missile

A commercial ship was hit by a missile

Hours after the United States military announced the interception of a missile attack by the Houthi group of Yemen on an American warship, a commercial ship in waters near the Gulf of Aden was hit by a missile.

This ship, named Jabal Al-Tariq Eagle, sails under the flag of the Marshall Islands and is American-owned.

The British company Ambrey announced that despite the missile strike, the aforementioned ship did not suffer significant damage and none of its crew were injured.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), which monitors the waters of the Middle East region, announced on Monday, January 15, that this attack occurred about 180 kilometers southeast of the port of Aden, Yemen.

Not many details about this attack have been announced, but the British report states that the captain of the mentioned ship said that the part of the ship facing the shore was hit from above by a missile.

The United States Fifth Fleet, stationed in the Middle East, has held the Houthis responsible for this attack and stated that no damage or casualties from the attack on this ship have been reported, and it is continuing on its course.
