Murder of a Well-Known Doctor by Gunfire in Tehran

A well-known Tehran doctor was murdered by gunfire in front of his home in Saadat Abad, Tehran.

According to media reports, Ali Valipour Goodarzi, the head of Tehran’s major crimes division, announced today, Sunday, August 21st, the murder of an 85-year-old man in Saadat Abad.

In a statement about the incident, the head of Tehran’s major crimes division said that around 7 a.m. today, a shooting incident was reported to the police emergency center 110 in the Saadat Abad neighborhood. Following the report, a team of officers immediately arrived at the scene and found that an approximately 85-year-old individual had been targeted with a firearm in front of his house.

He added that the individual succumbed to his injuries and lost his life.

Regarding the victim’s identity, he said the victim’s name was Dr. Mahfoozi, and he had been working in the private sector in recent years.
