A fishing boat went missing in the Persian Gulf

A fishing boat is missing in the Persian Gulf.

The governor of Deyr County, a suburb of Bushehr, said that the disappearance of a fishing boat with one passenger in the Persian Gulf within the waters of this county has been reported. A helicopter has been dispatched to find this fisherman.

Younes Barborz, referring to the missing fishing vessel with a passenger in Deyr, said that some fishermen leave the dock for fishing without checking the weather conditions, which creates problems for them when the Persian Gulf becomes turbulent.

He added that according to recent reports, 72 hours ago, a fishing boat with a sailor left Bandar Deyr for fishing and has not returned yet.

The governor of Deyr stated that since last night, after confirming the non-return of this fisherman, a rescue boat has been sent to the sea. However, due to the stormy conditions in the Persian Gulf, no trace of this sailor has been found.

Barborz continued by saying that today, in coordination with the deputy of the provincial civil engineering, a helicopter from Bushehr has been dispatched to the area for search and aerial surveillance.
