Following the death of Mahsa Amini at the Morality Police station, Seyed Mostafa Mirsalim, a member of the Expediency Discernment Council, tweeted blaming the incident on hypocrites and social media.

It is the disgraceful trait of hypocrites to try to disgrace the Islamic Republic by taking advantage of the chaos in social media under any pretext.

Mohammadreza Mohajer, a media activist, responded to Mirsalim’s tweet, writing:

You are a master of recognizing hypocrites, having raised a hypocritical son at home, hypocritically concealed his case, and hypocritically evaded his punishment.
