A member of parliament reported on some incentives for those who promote virtue in the Hijab bill.
Kazem Delkhosh, a member of the Parliament’s Legal and Judicial Commission, stated that in the so-called Hijab and Chastity bill, a series of exemptions and incentives have been considered for those who promote virtue.
He expressed unawareness about the details of these incentives and mentioned that some members of parliament have gone to the Guardian Council to address the bill’s issues.
Some members of parliament had previously announced that the Hijab and Chastity law would be implemented by the end of April.
Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei stated on April 9th that this bill has not yet been finalized.
In this bill, initially given by the judiciary to the government and later handed to the parliament where many clauses were added in a special commission, various punishments have been considered for those who do not comply with the mandatory hijab.
