A media outlet close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps cannot digest corruption.
The Javan newspaper wrote that with the publication of the investigative report on Mobarakeh Steel, some have once again raised the old suspicion of systemic corruption in the country.
Every time news emerges about the discovery and investigation of an economic corruption case in the country, claims about systemic corruption are made, which seem to stem from a confusion of concepts and a mistaken perception of linguistic proximity.
If the system were corrupt, it would turn a blind eye to these corruptions and quietly resolve them, just to keep the foreign media’s sarcasm and criticism at bay. However, the Islamic system has accepted the cost of enemy taunts and reproaches because it cannot tolerate corruption in the country and does not digest it.
The fact that corruption involving some close relatives of the highest officials in the country, such as the brother of the former president and the brother of his deputy, was discovered and addressed, and even sometimes officials at the level of vice president were prosecuted, is clear evidence that corruption is not systemic in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
