A Young Baloch Man Sentenced to Death

A young Baloch man was sentenced to death

The media group Hal Vash has reported the issuance of a death sentence for Kambiz Kharot, a Baloch citizen residing in Zahedan.

This 21-year-old Baloch man has been sentenced to death on charges of rioting and disorder through enmity against God and corruption on earth.

According to Hal Vash, Kambiz Kharot was subjected to severe torture in the intelligence detention center and was not allowed to have a lawyer of his choosing. He is currently in Ward 9 of Zahedan Central Prison, under conditions of being prohibited from making phone calls and receiving visits.

The report states that Kambiz firmly denied all the charges against him in court, but the Zahedan prosecutor, Mr. Shamsabadi, requested a death sentence for him, and the judge ignored Kambiz’s defense.

Hal Vash also mentioned that after the death sentence was communicated to Kambiz, they were given 20 days to appeal. According to this media outlet, which covers news related to Balochistan, previously, 18-year-old Baloch teenager Shoaib Mirbalochzehi Rigi and Mansour Dahmardeh, who were detained in the Zahedan protests, had also been sentenced to death.
