Abdolkarimi: Unfortunately, we have absolutely lost in the media war. Both the national media and the radio and television, despite all the huge investments, have suffered a crushing defeat in the media conflict, as have other media outlets that rely on public funding.
Only a few weak media voices remain, and they are constantly being threatened.
Our media today are either state-owned or under state supervision. These media have lost their value and credibility. Very few media outlets remain that strive to reflect the voices of the underprivileged, and even these are being threatened.
