Adel Ferdosipour: Ćiro Blažević Was Clever, Not a Trickster

Adel Ferdowsipour: Blazevic was clever, not a trickster.

Miroslav Blazevic, the former head coach of the national team, passed away this morning. He was one of the most passionate and controversial coaches in Iranian football, and his talks on the program ‘Ninety’ were captivating. That’s why we reached out to Adel Ferdowsipour to talk about this Croatian man.

Blazevic had a charismatic and lovable personality, and he helped us a lot in terms of football. It’s true that we didn’t make it to the World Cup with him, but he introduced a very good generation to our football, and we had a very attractive and lovable team that played well.

We played very attractively with him, and his personality was also incredibly exciting, and he spoke with a unique passion. In that program we had with Pejman Rahbar and the late Ahmadpour, it turned out to be a very strange and good program.

In that famous ‘Ninety’ program, it was supposed that Pejman Rahbar and the late Naser Ahmadpour would sit together, and he would be separate, but then he said, ‘I didn’t have crocodile skin.’

I don’t really like the term ‘trickster’ for Ciro. Blaz was a very complex and clever person, but the word ‘trickster’ isn’t very nice.
