Ahmad Khatami: Negotiations with the U.S. should only be about nuclear issues; suspension of enrichment is impossible.
Ahmad Khatami emphasized in today’s Friday prayers in Tehran that negotiations with the United States should solely focus on the nuclear program, and the Islamic Republic will absolutely not agree to suspend enrichment.
According to him, in the recent Iran-U.S. negotiations, the Foreign Minister is speaking on behalf of the system, and missile issues will not be discussed in the talks.
The Friday prayer leader in Tehran also added that the idea of some American negotiators saying enrichment should be reduced to zero is impossible.
The third round of Iran-U.S. negotiations was held yesterday in Geneva with Oman as the mediator, and the Omani Foreign Minister has announced that technical discussions between the two parties will continue in this process.
