Ahmadreza Radan, Commander-in-Chief of FARAJA: People Themselves Observe Religious Rites

Ahmad Reza Radan, the commander of the national police force, stated that people themselves observe religious practices.

Commander Radan, in response to the question of whether body cameras will be installed on police officers’ uniforms, said that it is certainly not possible to equip all police officers with cameras because we have not yet reached that level.

He added that we have planned to prepare over 20,000 body cameras for our personnel in the year 1402 (2023-2024) so they can be equipped and used. Of course, these uniforms will be used in all policing missions, so I think this number is not bad and can somewhat meet our mission needs.

Commander Radan, in response to a question about whether there is a plan in the police force to counter fasting violations, said, ‘I think our people have proven that they are committed to religious practices and observe them themselves. Those few who might not be among the observers will certainly take notice.’
