AIPAC’s Victory
Previously, in the primary elections for the House of Representatives, the Israeli lobby spent a historic amount in New York to eliminate Jamaal Bowman, a progressive representative and critic of Israel, in the Democratic primaries and led to the victory of his Democratic rival.
This trend was repeated in the state of Missouri, where with the high spending by AIPAC and on the other hand, support from a group of cryptocurrency traders, Cori Bush, another progressive and critic of Israel, was defeated, and her rival Wesley Bell became the party’s candidate for the final election in a very limited district where high spending did not mean much. The Israeli lobby spent over 9 million, and crypto traders also spent a significant amount to support Wesley Bell and defeat Cori Bush. Major players in the crypto market have been intensely spending on advertising in recent months to eliminate representatives who advocate for regulation and transparency in the crypto space.
