Alamolhoda: Hijab in the Country is Popular, Not Government-Imposed

Alamolhoda: Hijab in the country is by the people, not by the government

Ahmad Alamolhoda: Hijab in the country is by the people, not by the government, and we should not retreat in the face of protests.

Let’s not say that a series of mercenaries have been deployed in this country to remove headscarves and unveil, and we retreat. Let’s not say this is the will of the people. Which people?

This term ‘mandatory hijab’ that is mistakenly being spread around is being put into people’s mouths by the Americans, whereas our hijab is by the people.

Hijab is for protection from the harm of the foreign gaze.

This is the demand of our women. They want to claim that our hijab is imposed by the government on some women and prevents their freedom. An irreligious person has emerged and says the beautiful slogan ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ and is not ashamed of his clothing and claims. This slogan is beautiful.

They want to say hijab is a governmental imposition. None of the Islamic laws are mandatory. No one has ever been questioned for not praying.
