The alarm bell has rung for the Minister of Oil
According to an official report, by the end of October this year, out of a total of 136 licensed petrochemical projects with a production capacity of 113 million tons, 31 projects are in the preliminary stage and their execution has not yet begun.
Additionally, the execution of 35 other petrochemical projects is either halted or inactive.
The lack of financial resources, problems in obtaining licenses and technology, uncertainty about the supply of feedstock and utilities, and shareholder disagreements are the main reasons for the halting or inactivity and even delays in starting the execution of new petrochemical projects. It remains to be seen whether Hassan Abbaszadeh, a CEO deeply rooted in the petrochemical industry, can bring about effective changes in this construction process during the fourteenth government or not.
