The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Muscat released this news stating that the two sides exchanged views on various aspects of cooperation between the two countries.
Diplomatic exchanges between Iran and Oman have increased in recent months, and according to this report, two days ago, Ebrahim Raisi had a phone conversation with the Sultan of Oman, and the Omani Foreign Minister also visited Tehran three weeks ago.
In recent months, numerous reports have been published suggesting that Oman is acting as a mediator between Iran and Western countries, and several prisoners have also been released and sent to Western countries through this country’s mediation.
Oman also plays an active role as a mediator between Iran and the United States, and it has been said that indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States have also been ongoing in Oman.
