Ali Daei’s meeting with Infantino after leaving the country

Ali Daei, the former captain of Iran’s national football team, met with Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, after leaving Iran.

This meeting took place on the eve of the 2022 Best Football Awards, which will be held on Monday in Paris.

News sources in Iran reported on Saturday that Mr. Daei’s travel ban was lifted to facilitate his attendance at the Best Football Awards ceremony in Paris.

Ali Daei had been banned from leaving the country in recent months due to his support for widespread protests in Iran.

He also reported in December that a passenger plane carrying his wife and daughter was turned back mid-flight to Dubai by Iranian government security forces.
