Ali Karimi, the former player of the national team, Persepolis, and Bayern Munich, wrote in a story in reaction to the execution of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini: ‘O homeland, lonely homeland, until we wake up, we won’t wake up.’

This morning, the judiciary announced that Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini were executed on charges of ‘waging war against God’ in the case of the death of Basij member Rouhollah Ajamian during protests after the fortieth day ceremony of Hadis Najafi in Karaj.
