Ali Larijani, speaking at the 17th Annual Conference of the Iranian Political Science Association, stated that wisdom is in exile today and the wise are disliked by some. He said the problem is that some think the sciences that lead to progress are Western and non-religious.

Some think being revolutionary doesn’t need rational justification. The Imam and his disciples were rationalist philosophers.

The wise are beloved by God, even though they might be disliked by some. If wisdom holds such a position, why is it in exile today? Some think their interests lie in ignoring wisdom.

Many countries that were in worse conditions than us have achieved progress by employing science.

The danger of dogmatism is greater than disbelief. The main duty of the government is the welfare and comfort of the people along with spiritual growth.
