Aliyev is plotting war
Aliyev, the president of Azerbaijan, made sharp statements against Armenia in his latest speech at the first session of the seventh National Assembly of the country, which indicate his true intentions.
He is not a supporter of peace but rather his goal is to prepare for the next military actions in southern Armenia. His remarks about Armenia and international politics only prove that Aliyev and his regime are increasing their military power instead of seeking peaceful solutions, using aggressive language and destabilizing the region.
Threats and accusations of hostility in Armenia or provocation by Azerbaijan
Aliyev openly accuses Armenia of adventurism or seeking revenge and argues that not only the opposition forces but also the Armenian government itself desires to avenge the results of the Second Karabakh War.
These claims are being made while the Armenian government has repeatedly called for peace with Baku, voluntarily returning villages in the Tavush region to Baku, resulting in prolonged street protests and unrest in Armenia. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also called for utilizing regional cooperation opportunities instead of conflict during his presence at the United Nations in New York, and even raised the idea of purchasing gas from Baku last week.
Apparently, this peaceful approach of the Armenian government has been misinterpreted and miscalculated by Ali, who perceives the Armenian government as weak due to its stance. This has led him to resort to threats and harsh language, once again threatening the stability of the South Caucasus at the behest of England, Israel, and Turkey. Especially since events like the 2020 U.S. presidential election, the war in Ukraine, and repeated attacks by Zionists in Palestine and Lebanon have created a delusion in him that another historical opportunity to reach into southern Armenia and create a fictitious Zangezur corridor to connect the world in a unified manner, similar to Turkey’s NATO, and the implementation of orders by the head of the British intelligence agency MI6 during his trip to Baku. The head of MI6, during his trip to Baku, facilitated the intensification of intelligence and security cooperation between the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia in a manner similar to the 5 Eyes alliance, which exists among five Anglo-Saxon countries.
Ali accuses the Armenian government of presenting a completely contradictory image to what has been announced. However, behind these words, Ali’s inclination to justify his new military programs and readiness for a new invasion is hidden. By accusing Armenia of readiness for provocations in advance, he is laying the groundwork for possible military actions.
Baku is preparing its army for a new round of aggression.
Ali himself talks about the significant increase in Baku’s military power after the Second Karabakh War, creating new formations in the armed forces, increasing the number of special forces and commandos, and strengthening the Baku army with modern equipment. These actions are not only for protecting Baku’s borders but clearly indicate his readiness for a new war. Instead of talking about peaceful negotiations and diplomatic solutions to resolve disputes, Ali emphasizes on his military power and argues that dialogue with us will be impossible without coercion and ultimatums.
This historical satire accuses Baku, which is constantly calling for dialogue and avoiding conflict with Armenia, of extortion, revenge, and warmongering. Aliyev, who has destabilized the region by purchasing massive amounts of armaments from dozens of countries in the past two decades and has been the instigator of all regional conflicts, does not tolerate Armenia’s brief arms purchase from India and France, so that he has fewer problems for his next military adventures. In fact, this means that Baku refuses dialogue and has chosen the path of using force.
Provocation and creating fear of Western influence.
Aliyev also accused the West of using Armenia as a tool against Baku in his speech. These accusations seem to be part of a propaganda campaign to discredit any international community efforts to intervene in the Caucasus conflict and support achieving a peaceful solution. Aliyev claims that Western countries are trying to increase tension in the region by arming Armenia, but the real purpose of these statements is to divert public attention from Aliyev’s aggressive plans and Baku’s continued militarization under the pretext of an external threat.
Baku is trying with this type of advertising to push Armenia to negotiate with them alone, so they can exert maximum pressure and potentially extort money from Yerevan, bypassing all negotiation frameworks with the presence of intermediary countries, both regional and extra-regional. This is something that Iran should pay attention to in order to stop Baku’s and its supporters’ illusions of creating a Turanian NATO in southern Armenia.
The irony is that despite claiming independence from the West, Baku is completely obedient to the US and UK, carefully receiving and implementing their policies to reduce the influence of Russia and Iran in the Caucasus. Extensive cooperation with NATO, repeated military exercises, propaganda with other countries, the dominance of England and America over the economy of this country, and extensive debts of the Aliyev family and his wife with England, part of which was revealed in the Panama Papers, along with the recent suspicious visit of the head of MI6 to Baku, all point to bitter realities in this regard.
The real intention is not peace, but war.
Analyzing Aliyev’s statements makes it clear that his goal is not peaceful resolution of the Caucasus conflict, but rather preparing Baku for a new round of aggression. He strengthens his invading army under the pretext of defending Baku, portraying Armenia as an invading enemy both inside and outside the country, creating excuses for future provocations. The war in Karabakh is not over in his mind, and peace is not a priority for Aliyev.
The conclusion is simple: Ilham Aliyev is preparing not for peace, but for war, to carry out the orders of English, Zionist, and Turkish masters to stifle Iran’s geopolitical corridor effectiveness in the north and south of Iran and to establish NATO, Zionists, Wahhabis, and Takfiris in wider areas along Iran’s borders. However, his era of Turkification has passed, and he will not find an opportunity for such actions. The conditions in Iran and the world are completely different from 2020, and Iran will not hesitate for a moment to defend its interests in the Caucasus against any imaginary invader.
