The ambassadors of three European countries in Tehran were summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In protest against the collusion of the three countries, the UK, France, and Germany, with the US in misusing the UN Security Council mechanism and holding a closed meeting about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program on March 12, the ambassadors of these countries were summoned by Mohammad Hassannejad Pirkouhi, the Director-General for Peace and International Security, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Holding a closed Security Council session regarding Iran’s nuclear program lacks any technical and legal justification and is considered a provocative and political action in line with the US’s unilateral and tension-inducing approaches.
The compliance of the three European countries with the unjustified request of the US to hold a Security Council meeting amounts to siding with a party that, by unilaterally and illegally withdrawing from the JCPOA and egregiously violating Security Council Resolution 2231 in 2018, has been the cause and driving force behind subsequent undesirable developments related to this document.
