America No Longer Wastes Time on the JCPOA

The U.S. no longer wastes time on the JCPOA.

An Axios reporter has spoken with Robert Malley and then several other American officials about the Biden administration’s policy towards Iran. Given the current circumstances and Iran’s entanglement in the Ukraine crisis, it is natural that the evolution of the White House’s policy towards Iran has gained significant importance.

Robert Malley has stated that negotiations on the JCPOA are not on the U.S. government’s agenda, given Iran’s stances on various issues. If Iran’s policies are what we are seeing, Biden will not waste his time on them.

Other American officials have also spoken with the Axios reporter, and one of them explicitly stated that the behavior of the Iranian regime towards its people and its involvement in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has changed everything. Iran, which is talking so much about the JCPOA these days, will not hear a response from Biden.
