America is ready for war in space
Brigadier General Jesse Morehouse, Deputy Director of Strategy, Plans, and Policy for the United States Space Command, told reporters at a press conference in London that the U.S. military is prepared for conflict in orbits.
Morehouse said the United States is ready to fight in space tonight if necessary.
He added that if anyone were to threaten the United States or any of our interests, even if it were from our allies and partners with whom we have mutual defense treaties, we are ready to fight tonight.
The United States Space Command was initially established in 1985 as a military space command and control center.
It was dissolved in 2002 and later reintroduced in 2019 under the Trump administration.
