Amini, CEO of Abfa: Water Tension Exists in Over 53 Cities in Iran

Amini, the CEO of Abfa, says there is a water crisis in over 53 cities in Iran.

Hashem Amini, the CEO of the Iran Water and Wastewater Company, announced that 25 provinces and more than 53 cities in Iran are facing a water crisis.

He cited the reason for this situation as entering the fifth consecutive year of drought and mentioned that projects have been defined and designed as part of emergency plans.

The CEO of Abfa also referred to the implementation of projects aimed at stabilizing and increasing the resilience of water networks, stating that actions have been initiated to secure the necessary funding for these plans and to execute the projects.

Maintaining water quality, public health, and preventing the salinization of water resources have been declared as the main priorities of these projects.
