Amir-Abdollahian: Hamas leaders are ready to release their civilian hostages
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran says Hamas leaders are prepared to release their Israeli civilian hostages, and the world should, in return, support the release of six thousand Palestinian prisoners.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who has traveled to New York to announce Tehran’s stance regarding the war between Israel and Hamas, said at the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, ‘We are not seeking to expand and escalate the war in the region, but if there are those who do not want this war to expand, they should pressure the Zionist regime to stop its war crimes.’
The Islamic Republic of Iran has supported this group and its operation known as ‘Al-Aqsa Storm’ since the first day of the deadly attack by Hamas militants on Israeli soil, but at the same time, it has criticized the United States for supporting Israel and what it calls genocide in the Gaza Strip.
