Amir Abdollahian: Iranian Women Enjoy Extensive Freedom

Amir Abdollahian: Iranian women enjoy a lot of freedom.

Amir Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister, told an American media outlet that many women are not without hijab; women act according to their Iranian and Islamic culture.

Women in Iran have extraordinary freedoms.

We are one of the strongest democracies in the region, while some of the countries around us have not even held a single election.

Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Iranian Foreign Minister, in an interview with this radio network, in response to the question of why Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Revolution, issued a pardon for tens of thousands of detainees who participated in anti-government protests, said: Firstly, I think the term used that tens of thousands were arrested is not accurate information.

I firmly say that firstly, no student was arrested inside universities during the unrest.

Those who were arrested were individuals involved in the unrest on the streets.
