Amir Abdollahian visited the border area with Israel during his trip to Lebanon

Amir Abdollahian visited the border region with Israel during his trip to Lebanon.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, during his visit to Lebanon, went to Marun al-Ras on the Lebanese border with Israel this Friday afternoon, April 28 (8th of Ordibehesht).

In his speech in this area, Amir-Abdollahian expressed support for Hezbollah in Lebanon and what he described as confronting the common enemy, Israel.

Iranian media quoted the Iranian Foreign Minister, stating that Iran has always been a friend to Lebanon in difficult times.

Iranian media have interpreted this visit as a response to the opening of Israel’s permanent embassy in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, near the border with Iran. This is the closest Israeli diplomatic mission to Iran, with Ashgabat being less than 50 kilometers from the Iranian border.
