Amir Jadidi to Play the Role of Mansour Bahrami, the Famous Iranian Tennis Player

Amir Jadidi will play the role of Mansour Bahrami, the famous Iranian tennis player, in the biographical film Mansour.

The French company Franc TV has purchased the global broadcasting rights for this film before production, and it is likely to sell it to various countries at this year’s Cannes Festival. Romuald Boulanger, the director of works such as ‘On the Line’ starring Mel Gibson, will direct this film, which is a joint production of France and Britain. Dawn McDaniel and Philippe de Lion are responsible for writing this work.

The 68-year-old Bahrami is one of the most famous Iranian tennis players in the world. Bahrami was born in 1956 in Farahan, Markazi Province, and began playing tennis at the age of 13. He played in major tournaments, including the Davis Cup, Gallia Cup, and the 1974 Asian Games, where he became the Asian champion. Bahrami told Deadline about this film, ‘Many people have told me that my life story is very cinematic, but it is truly an honor that a feature film is being made based on my life. Amir Jadidi is an exceptional actor; he really transforms for his role. The fact that he is a semi-professional tennis player is one of the great strokes of luck for this project.’
