Amir Reza Khadem: First, Release People Like Toumaj Salehi, Lift the Travel Bans on Artists, Then Tell Karimi to Return

Amir Reza Khadem: First, release people like Toumaj Salehi, lift the travel bans on artists, then tell Karimi to return.

Amir Reza Khadem, former wrestling champion of Iran, responded to the comments made by Azari Jahromi, the government spokesperson, who had said there was no issue with Ali Karimi returning to Iran. Khadem wrote: First release people like Toumaj Salehi, lift the travel bans on artists, then tell Karimi to return.

In this Instagram post, Khadem addressed the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic’s government, writing: If indeed Mr. Ali Karimi, with all the various statements he’s made, has no issue returning to the country and will not face any repercussions, then why are figures who have expressed far calmer and much less frequent opinions than Karimi being arrested and imprisoned?

Iran Gate, by publishing a report and analysis titled ‘All Artists Are Banned from Leaving,’ has examined this issue.

The latest update on a piece titled ‘Forced Confessions of Toumaj Salehi: I Apologize to Society for the Violence I Created’ has been published.
