Amirkabir University Newsletter: A New Phase of Student Suppression at Amirkabir is Under Review

The Amir Kabir University newsletter is reviewing a new phase of student suppression at Amir Kabir.

The Amir Kabir newsletter announced in a Telegram post that the recent meeting of the university’s board of directors discussed a new phase of student suppression.

The newsletter stated that this phase, titled the ‘Educational Conditions Plan for Student Activists,’ is under review. It has been reported that the academic records of over 100 student activists have been examined, and with issues such as completion of academic terms and mandatory academic leave being raised, several students have been unofficially expelled due to disciplinary committee rulings.

The newsletter wrote that this incident has previously occurred to other student activists, including Majid Tavakoli, who was expelled from the university in 2009 after three probationary terms with a zero GPA.
