Amnesty International called for the halt of Mohammad Ghobadlou’s execution sentence
Amnesty International expressed concern in a series of tweets regarding the situation of 22-year-old Mohammad Ghobadlou, whose death sentence has been confirmed by the Supreme Court, and urged the international community to use all available means to pressure Iranian authorities to stop his execution and prevent Iran’s death machinery from claiming another victim.
Amnesty International also stated that it has serious concerns about torture and other mistreatment of Mohammad Ghobadlou. The official forensic report noted bruises and injuries on his body that were from the time of his arrest.
Today, the Supreme Court announced in an amendment that it has rejected Mohammad Ghobadlou’s appeal, one of the defendants from the recent protests.
