Amnesty International Report on Torture of Children in Iran Protests

Amnesty International’s report on the torture of children in Iran protests

Amnesty International reported that the intelligence and security forces of the Islamic Republic have used horrific measures such as beatings, electric shocks, rape, and other sexual violence against protesting children during the ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ protests.

In a report released on Thursday, March 16, marking the sixth month since the start of nationwide protests in Iran, this human rights organization exposed the torture by the Revolutionary Guards, Basij paramilitary forces, public security police, and other security and intelligence forces on boys and girls over the age of 12 with the aim of extracting forced confessions.
