Amwaj Media: The Leader of the Islamic Republic has authorized direct negotiations between Iran and the United States.
Amwaj Media: Several senior sources informed Amwaj Media that Iran’s nuclear negotiators have been granted permission to enter direct talks with the United States. This apparent shift in the position of the Leader of the Islamic Republic could be a turning point in the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program.
High-ranking Iranian sources, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that Ali Bagheri Kani, the chief nuclear negotiator, is ready to meet with Brett McGurk, the White House coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, in Oman in the coming weeks.
These sources claimed that if the desired meeting takes place, the next step would be for the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council—Britain, France, China, Russia, and the United States—and Germany to hold a meeting with Iran.
According to speculation by one of the sources, if the mentioned gathering occurs, it could follow the ‘Transition Day’ in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which is on October 18th.
