Andy Burnham became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Andy Burnham was introduced as the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom following Keir Starmer’s resignation, becoming the seventh person to hold this position in the past decade.

Starmer submitted his resignation to King Charles III of the United Kingdom at Buckingham Palace. In his final speech outside the Prime Minister’s office at 10 Downing Street, he said he is proud of his achievements during his tenure and will fully support his successor.

The King of the United Kingdom then asked Andy Burnham to form a new government. Burnham has previously indicated that he intends to steer the Labour Party towards more leftist policies and prioritize improving the living standards of the people in his government.
