Animal rights defenders announced that a white beluga whale has been shot dead.
Animal rights groups declared on Thursday that the white beluga whale, whose carcass was recently found on the shores of Norway, has been killed by a gunshot.
Previously, it was said that this animal was trained by Russia for espionage purposes, following the discovery of a harness and a camera attached to its back.
The organizations NOAH and One Whale, fighting for animal rights, filed a complaint with the Norwegian police on Thursday and demanded a criminal investigation to find the perpetrators of the whale’s killing.
This white beluga whale, previously associated with Moscow and espionage for Russia under the name Hvaldimir, was first observed in 2019 in the northern coastal areas of Norway and also in the shores belonging to Sweden.
International news agencies reported last Saturday that the carcass of this whale was found on the southwest coast of Norway.
