Announcement from the Parliament’s Article 90 Commission on the cheating case in the entrance exam: Cheaters of the 2022 exam did not gain admission to the university.
The Article 90 Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly has issued a statement rejecting the admission of 2022 exam cheaters to the university.
In recent days, reports have emerged in several Iranian media outlets suggesting that a thousand cheaters from last year’s entrance exam gained admission to universities. It was claimed that these individuals were admitted and, according to a parliamentary resolution, their cases cannot be addressed now.
According to ISNA News Agency, citing the Article 90 Commission, the suspicions of cheating and misconduct in the 2022 entrance exam were reviewed by the Organization for Assessment before the final results were announced. Of the nearly one thousand candidates suspected of cheating, about 15 percent succeeded in obtaining passing scores in a retest, and the cheaters did not gain admission to universities, thus not infringing upon the rights of other candidates.
