Mehdi Zare Ashkezari, a young man who was arrested during the nationwide protests in Iran, has died due to injuries sustained from torture.

According to reports published on social media, Mehdi Zare went into a coma hours after his temporary release due to torture, and passed away in the hospital after 20 days.

It is said that this young man from Yazd suffered facial injuries, with his nose and teeth broken.

Mehdi Zare Ashkezari was an Iranian student studying in Italy, and the news of his death has been reflected in the media of that country.
