Ansieh Khazali of the Islamic Republic supports female students from Gaza

The Deputy for Women and Family Affairs of Iran’s president said on Monday, November 13th, that the Islamic Republic government supports the education of female students from Gaza in Iran, and as a first step, three of them will be symbolically awarded scholarships at Bu-Ali Sina University in Hamedan.

Ansieh Khazali did not clarify what is meant by their symbolic scholarship and did not provide further details on this matter, but she expressed hope that this initiative would expand to other universities.

While the Gaza Strip is under complete blockade by Israel, and only a number of its residents with dual citizenship have been able to enter Egypt through the Rafah crossing, it is unclear how the Islamic Republic plans to select and award scholarships to female students from this region.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), she also described attracting foreign students to Iran as a necessity and said this action could be effective in transferring Iranian-Islamic culture to other countries.
