Antonio Guterres: Humanity cannot survive the sequel to the Oppenheimer film

Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, believes that the risk of nuclear war has intensified and humanity cannot survive the sequel to the Oppenheimer film.

The United States representative to the United Nations announced that his country, along with Japan, supports the proposed Security Council resolution regarding the prohibition of deploying or developing nuclear weapons in space.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield stated in the United Nations Security Council meeting that any placement of nuclear weapons in Earth’s orbit would be unprecedented, dangerous, and unacceptable.

The White House announced last month that Russia has achieved a troublesome anti-satellite capability in space, although it also mentioned that such a weapon has not yet reached the operational stage.
