Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, said Iran's attack on Israel was justified

Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, called Iran’s attack on Israel legitimate.

While many countries around the world have condemned Iran’s missile and drone attack on Israel, Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, described this unprecedented attack as legitimate.

The Prime Minister of this large country, where most of the population is Muslim, wrote in a statement that Iran’s drone attack on Israel was a legitimate action that took place following Israel’s brutal attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

The statement from the Malaysian Prime Minister’s office also called on Israel to refrain from any further retaliatory actions that could escalate tensions in the Middle East.

This statement was issued after a meeting of Malaysia’s National Security Council, chaired by Anwar Ibrahim, to discuss Middle Eastern tensions.

Ibrahim also reiterated his country’s support for the Hamas group following Israel’s attack on Gaza.

During Israel’s attack on Gaza, Malaysia witnessed widespread demonstrations in support of Palestinians.
