Araghchi: The US is responsible for the consequences of violating the Islamabad understanding
Abbas Araghchi, in a meeting with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, appreciated Islamabad’s efforts to mediate between Iran and the US and said that Washington’s violation of the Islamabad understanding has led to increased tension and insecurity in the region.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also provided a report on the discussions between Tehran and Muscat regarding the establishment of a safe passage for ships in the Strait of Hormuz and the exchange of messages with the US through Qatar.
Both parties emphasized the implementation of bilateral agreements to expand relations and continue the efforts of regional countries to establish peace and stability. Araghchi also called for a more serious role for Islamic countries in supporting Palestinians.
