Araghchi: Economic threats against Iran are to divert American public opinion
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, reacted to Donald Trump’s new economic threats by saying that the threat to initiate economic operations against Iran is an attempt to divert American public opinion from the country’s internal financial crises.
Araghchi, pointing to the U.S. government’s debt surpassing 40 trillion dollars and the rising interest costs, said that the continuation of what he called Washington’s failed policies will only lead to more failures. He also described America’s economic pressure policy as a threat against the global economy and the national sovereignty of countries.
