Araqchi: Iran trusts China and desires Beijing’s active role in ending the war

Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, announced in a message on the social network X, following his visit to Beijing and meeting with Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, that constructive talks were held between the two sides.

He wrote that Iran and China have once again emphasized the Islamic Republic’s right to uphold sovereignty and national dignity.

Araqchi also appreciated China’s four-point proposal for maintaining peace and stability in the region and said Tehran hopes Beijing will continue to play an active role in ending the conflicts.

The Iranian Foreign Minister added that the Islamic Republic supports the formation of a new regional framework for the post-war era, a framework that can balance development and security.
