Araghchi: Everyone must know that there is no such thing as a military option, let alone a military solution.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs
The President of the United States may not be interested in the 2015 nuclear agreement,
but that agreement includes a key commitment from Iran that remains intact, and even the United States, which is outside the agreement, has benefited from it.
Iran once again emphasizes that under no circumstances will it seek to develop or acquire nuclear weapons.
Ten years after the signing of the JCPOA and seven years after the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from it, there is not even the smallest evidence to suggest that Iran has violated this commitment.
Even Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence of the United States, recently fully acknowledged this.
Diplomatic engagement has proven effective in the past and can still be effective.
But it must be clear to everyone that fundamentally there is no such thing as a military option, let alone a military solution.
