Araqchi: In negotiations, we have entered more detailed matters
Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Sunday, May 11, after the fourth round of nuclear negotiations with the United States held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, that these talks were more serious and straightforward compared to the previous three rounds, and both parties moved away from general discussions and began examining more detailed matters.
Araqchi stated that despite the straightforwardness and difficulty of the negotiations, useful discussions were conducted.
We can now say that both parties have a better understanding of each other, and a large number of the main contentious issues have been discussed more thoroughly, their dimensions have become clearer, and there is a better understanding, with positions becoming closer.
Araqchi added that it can be said that the negotiations were moving forward again.
Both parties decided that the negotiations should continue and are determined.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic said that the next round of negotiations will probably be held with a gap of a week, give or take a day.
Abbas Araqchi also claimed that the American side, especially in the media, has taken contradictory positions and said this does not help the negotiations at all.
